    Group buying is a win win for Ireland, not only for us consumers that we get good deals, but also for the businesses as we have a very high rate of not cashing in coupons/vouchers that are bought.

    Personally I’m enjoying availing of all the Celtic Tiger era type services at rock bottom prices – but be quick as you never know whether the business whose voucher you bought will be gone next week or not!

    It seems that there are some chinks appearing in the shiny armour of group buying – http://econsultancy.com/uk/blog/6603-the-dark-side-of-groupon-emerges – too much success can actually be a bad think if the loss-leader does not actually result in additional purchases or loyal customers.
