Google Maps adds Business Logos

Not sure if this is being rolled out over here yet, but down under Google Maps have added some new features. Last year they added icons and labels of prominent businesses and now you can know see the logo of that business when zoomed in.

Of course to get that kind of exposure, business’s will have to pay for the ability to upload a custom business logo/icon but it’s definitely something which would make street navigating easier – especially in Ireland as most directions are giving via pub names.

This is a good added feature. Business logos will help a lot in easily identifying businesses that you are looking for in google map. Good job Google.

Relativley straightforward change for Google and useful for the user who is tired of seeing multiple red pins on the same location. Interesting to see what the charges are and how it is policed – even some global brands have problems with thier logos in certain countries.

This is interesting and very useful.If this will work better than it was working before this new custom logos I guess it is better for those who want an upgrade.
