My name is Barry, and I’m a new mar­ket­ing kinda guy who’s cur­rently hav­ing fun with a com­pany that suits his style — last​minute​.com, of course this blog doesn’t rep­re­sent their views  because here is where I try to make some sense of stuff I see hang­ing out online — which is usu­ally any­thing to do with mak­ing web­sites succeed.

When I’m unplugged, I like to get kicked around the JJB soc­cer­dome in Dun­dalk a cou­ple of times a week, as well as flap around on a thread­mill in a vain attempt to run for more than 20 min­utes with­out hit­ting the panic button.

After 10 years of good old fash­ioned spade work, I’ve finally sealed the deal by get­ting engaged to Nichola and we’re due to get mar­ried in 2011, Yup twen­tyeleven will be a big year, as I’ll also be grad­u­at­ing from a mar­ket­ing mas­ters post­grad course.
